We Work With Your Budget

An important step is staying at or below the budget you have identified. We publish our prices, to make sure all clients are on a level playing field, but utilize creative solutions to help you stay within the budget you set for your event. Our pricing is simple, straightforward and all inclusive. . .our events (except interactive stations) include real plates, flatware and napkins


Fresh, Fabulous and Homemade Cuisine!

All of our food is made from scratch down to our homemade sauces, dressings and the croutons that top our freshly washed and chopped salads. We don’t take shortcuts and we guarantee you will taste the difference!  We make every effort to use local, sustainable and organic products and to use them creatively. Our plan our menus with a seasonal emphasis, and often add new items with each new season.


Hands On Leadership Involvement

Marvin and Deborah are completely involved in day to day operations at Shining Stars Catering. As a  client or wedding couples, we will be available to help you, along with our venue and wedding pro partners! Deborah works exclusive with all clients and wedding couples from initial conversation to the event itself. Marvin and Deborah consider themselves “client advocates” and are available anytime you need additional assistance or help.

We have a great team that really enjoys working together. Our very experienced and exceptional executive staff and chefs work hard to insure all events are flawlessly executed  Many of our professional serving staff have been with us since the creation of Shining Stars, but as we have grown, we have added some exceptional team members. We share a common goal of providing the best client service in Kansas City and go the extra mile to make sure that your events go smoothly. Our dedicated team, from our Chefs, to our on site supervisors and chefs, to our serving staff, office personnel and marketing team, are here to make sure that your experience with our company is exceptional. Our Shining Stars employees REALLY shine!!!!


We Are Green!

We Have Adopted “Green” Practices in our Business

We use sustainable and local resources when possible, only use ECO biodegradable or products that can be recycled, and only use real plating for everything except drop off events, unless requested by the client. Please talk with us about how to make your reception or event totally GREEN!


We Give Back!

All qualifying non-profit organizations, first responder organizations and military organizations receive a 10% discount from our regular pricing.
